Kitchen and Bathroom Furniture Industrialists and Importers Association
Kitchen & Bathroom Furniture and Built-in Devices Fair organized by the Association of Wooden Kitchen and Bathroom Furniture Industrialists and Importers (MUDER) in collaboration with Survey Fuarcılık was held on May 6-10th in Yeşilköy World Trade Centre Exhibition Area.
Inaugurated by Statesman Mr. Zafer Çağlayan, the Fair brought together the latest designs of kitchen & bathroom furniture, built-in devices and various other products related to kitchen and bathrooms with consumers over approx. 10 thousand square meters.
The Fair which opened its doors with the foyer built by Designer Adnan Serbest on the concepts that are used to define the colour “white” such as brightness, simplicity, spaciousness and freshness was accompanied by various colourful events such as dinner shows, exhibitions organized by industrial design and interior architecture departments, conferences where kitchen culture and design are scrutinized and installations decorated with creative ideas.
The biannual kitchen fair, organized by MUDER and recognized as the largest and most comprehensive fair in its field following Milano Fair, hosted 15.000 local and foreign professional visitors this year.
Stressing the importance of the fair that the sector holds in a crucial period when substantial recession occurs all around the globe, Mr. Halim Birsin, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Wooden Kitchen & Bathroom Furniture Industrialists and Importers, said that the fair was very energetic and enjoyable.
Stating that it gives the management of the Association joy that participant companies were all satisfied, Mr. Birsin says: “Latest designs launched by kitchen companies that closely follow up innovations and trends around the world shaped the concept of kitchen furniture and increased both the quality of life and expectations of consumers, along with modern life style. Therefore, kitchens with cream or brown laminate covering used as a standard in constructions will be replaced by more technological kitchens with flat and simple lines. Especially electrically-driven, touch operated and handle-free covers for upper cupboards, operated by remote control, are exhibited in the fair and drew great attention.”
Mr. Süleyman DURDU, General Manager of Survey Fuarcılık, said, “After the Zow fairs, we opened another fair just like a feast.
We have also carried out flourishing activities related to the “qualified visitors”, which is an issue frequently mentioned in our discourse. Officials of the Valencia Chamber of Commerce of Spain, Italian Federation of Furniture Producers, Italian Kitchen Manufacturers Association, President of the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, General Director of the Association of Kitchen Furniture Industry of Germany as well as trade delegations from Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Albania, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Moldova, Macedonia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Israel, Poland, the Netherlands and the People's Republic of China were among the main qualified foreign visitors of our fair.
In addition, Designer Adnan Serbest and his team made our exhibition the meeting venue of the design world. In addition to various enjoyable events and food shows, the kitchen fair almost turned into a show with exhibitions organized by the industrial design and interior design departments of universities.”
